Day Program
Our Day Program is composed of 15 – 20 groups each week and creates a climate of success, inclusion, and collaboration. Daily groups are designed to engage and encourage residents to explore their passions and develop skills that will help in their recovery. They are led by our staff, with the opportunity for residents to co-lead topics based on their interests or background experience.
Our Day Program includes a daily morning meeting; a weekly house meeting for each residence; and a Monday afternoon Community Meeting for all residents and staff where we celebrate holidays, birthdays, and come together as a real community.

In addition, our other Day Program groups change by season and interest and include topics such as:
- Environmental Awareness
- Social Skills
- Current Events
- Exploring Recovery
- Exercise: Trips to the YMCA, Reservoir Walks, etc.
- Mindfulness and Meditation
- Creative Writing and Poetry
- Music and Instrumentation
- Therapeutic Listening
- Languages
- Exploring Boston
- World Culture
We also have weekly Thursday outings to museums, shops, parks, and other local places of interest. We offer residents seasonal experiences like going to Boston beaches in the summer and the holiday tree lighting on Boston Common in the winter.
