Barbara A. Deck, Ph.D.
Executive Director
Barbara has been Executive Director of EIKOS since 1975. EIKOS was founded by her late husband, Dr. Yasin Balbaky in 1968. Barbara became the CEO and owner when EIKOS was reorganized in 1984. Barbara has expertly led EIKOS, creating unique counseling and systems approaches throughout the years. She has a Ph.D. in History of Ideas from Brandeis University, and an MBA from Harvard University. She has worked as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company. She had experience teaching counseling skills and leading social justice-oriented groups for over 40 years.
Holly M. Carter, Ph.D.
Senior Director
Holly has consulted for EIKOS for over a decade and was appointed to her current role in 2014. She has over four decades of experience in organizational development, leadership development, program design and training. Her consultant clients include Fortune 500 private companies, not-for-profit organizations and government agencies. She received her MA (in passing) and Ph.D. in International and Comparative Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her concentrations included Psychology and Political Economy.
Kaitlin Dute, BA
Program Director
Kaitlin brings a depth of experience and commitment to mental health care to her current position. She has served as front line staff and Assistant Program Director during her tenure at EIKOS. Kaitlin has applied her expertise in social media and communication to our outreach efforts. Prior to coming to EIKOS, she worked to provide access to food assistance programs in Boston’s Mattapan community. She received her BA from Suffolk University with a major in Psychology, minor in Public Service and Spanish.
Mostafa Masomi, BS
Director, Building and Grounds
Mostafa has been with EIKOS for over three decades. His expertise in general contracting, carpentry and building maintenance as well as his long-term commitment and relationship with our clients makes Mostafa an invaluable member of the senior leadership team. He received his BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
